Who We Are
Kitso Lesedi Development Community is a, non-governmental organization established in October 2006.
Kitso Lesedi serve the most vulnerable within our own community in the City of Tshwane, with the goal to prevent and reduce street homelessness,
fight poverty, build clean, healthy, safe and sustainable community who mainly leave on the streets, street corners, bridges, parks and dilapidated
buildings. As Kitso Lesedi we’ve committed to provide support by identifying the homeless social, psychological and educational needs
(i.e. intervention program, intake; case work; group work; community work; referrals; counseling, healing and restoration of lives).
Amongst others, on weekdays (five times a week) our social services team (team of social workers) as they give social services support, they also serve
them with a nutritious meal, assisted with health care services and social services. Our services are divided into three PROGRAMS; which includes feeding
scheme, social welfare and health management. The three programs are: • Training and transferring of soft skills The unsheltered homeless people, rehabilitated
addicts and homeless people who have been rehabilitated (Sober Champions) Unsheltered homeless job seeker Unemployed volunteer’s youth and women from our
nearby townships and villages. • Drug and Substance abuse Awareness and prevention Early intervention and referrals to relevant service providers Aftercare •
Family reunification / family conferencing (to our Rehabilitated addicts and or homeless people who have been rehabilitated) Individual and group counseling
Family conferencing with affected families, relatives and communities Traveling to other provinces to engage the beneficiaries with their families and relatives.
